We are so fortunate to have supporters who are so passionate about creating a better future for girls and young women.

GFS relies on fundraised income to ensure we can:

  • Continue to open new GFS groups in areas where girls need them most
  • Keep our groups affordable and operate our fee waiver system for any girls who could not otherwise attend
  • Fund our experienced, on the ground, Group Coordinators, who support volunteers to make our groups amazing
  • Be here to support the next generation of girls and young women

There are loads of fun ways to raise money for GFS, and we’ve got some suggestions on the pages below.

GFS adheres to The Fundraising Promise.

How can GFS support my fundraiser?

If you’re having a fundraiser, we’d love you to let us know. Our friendly fundraising team can help you with ideas, GFS info to share with your friends, images to promote your fundraiser on your social media and anything else you need.

Let us know what you have planned by emailing fundraising@girlsfriendlysociety.org.uk

We’ve also suggested some of our fundraising top tips here to get you started.

How can I send you the money from my fundraiser?

For lots of people, the easiest way to collect fundraised money is through a Just Giving page (there are alternatives like Give as you Live Donate and Collection Pot, if you prefer). Your supporters can donate online on your campaign page and the funds will come straight to us.

If you’ve collected cash at a fundraising event, you should bank it, and then donate it through our website, or by sending a cheque to GFS, Unit 12 Angel Gate, London, EC1V 2PT. Don’t forget to print some copies of our Gift Aid Declaration to make sure your supporters don’t miss out on the change to add an extra 25% to their donation.

Tell us your fundraising story

If you have raised funds for GFS we would love to hear all about it. Share your pictures with us on FacebookInstagram or Twitter so we can spread the word about your amazing fundraising efforts.
