Introducing our newest members of governance

Going into 2023, GFS had lots of big shoes to fill in our leadership and governance. After a successful recruitment period, we’re so happy to introduce our newest members.

Frances Payne joins the board as History Trustee, taking over for Poppy Winks, who has moved into her role as GFS England’s Vice President. Many long-time members of the GFS community may even know her already.

Frances has been an important part of our community since she was one year old, alongside her mother, Glenys. Along with her lifelong experience with GFS, Frances works as a secondary school teacher, sitting on her school’s Teacher Diversity Committee and running the student LGBTQ+ society.

Also new to the board is Chandni Radia, taking over as Fundraising Trustee and Chair of Fundraising and Growth Committee. Chandni comes to GFS with over 15 years of experience in fundraising and business development.

She currently works as the Director of Development, Income and Impact at The Mayday Trust, having held senior leadership positions at Advance and The Forward Trust previously.

We’re also delighted to announce that we’ve filled the empty seats on our committees with the most outstanding and passionate individuals.

We welcome Ashleigh Huddart Ellie Rich-Poole and Iza Seabrook on the Fundraising and Growth Committee, which is now chaired by Chandni.

Madison Kerr and Carina Spaulding have joined the Quality and Impact Committee, which is still chaired by our dedicated Safeguarding Trustee, Sacha Rose Smith. Also joining this committee is our new History Trustee, Frances.

Aran Pascual, Cass Potter and Faye Cooper have joined the People and Operations Committee, chaired by our ‘Woman to Watch’, Vice Chair of Trustees, Parv Sangera.

Last, but far from least, Julia Hedley takes a seat on the Finance and Investment Committee, chaired by the brilliant Treasurer of Trustees, Margaux Young.

We can’t wait to see what the new members of our Board and Committees will do.
