Acid attack survivor meets the Young Mums group at GFS Great Yarmouth

The Young Mums Group at GFS Great Yarmouth met Adele Bellis who suffered an acid attack in 2014 when her former partner paid for someone to throw sulphuric acid in her face.

Since her ordeal, Adele has been involved in numerous campaigns and television interviews to raise awareness of the issue and help young women to understand when a relationship becomes unhealthy and abusive, how to report it and how to leave it.

The Great Yarmouth Project caught up with Adele a couple of years later for International Women’s Day 2018.

Our GFS Great Yarmouth and GFS Skegness Projects closed in 2018. Read the statement made by our Chair regarding the closures.
