We are very pleased to be able to share with you the results of this year’s GFS Christmas card competition! Thank you all so much for sending your designs.
We received so many entries and it was an absolute pleasure to see so much creativity, enthusiasm and originality from so many girls. The standard of the cards is ever improving and each year it becomes more and more difficult to narrow them down.
The overall winning design will be printed on the cover of this year’s official GFS Christmas card which will be sent to all our members, volunteers and partners and made available for purchase for Christmas 2020. They will also receive a £30 Amazon voucher and two runners-up will receive a £10 Amazon Voucher each.
We loved so many of your designs, so we have also given a number of special commendations to designs that were very close in the running.
The winning design
Lily Millin, age 11, GFS Gloucester
We loved the use of bold colour on this card and the way it filled up the page. The characters on the card are friendly and rather sweet – we are certain that people would be very happy to have them smiling down at them from their mantlepiece.
Runner-up
Fanni Szekely, age 8, GFS Wimbledon
We loved the clever and original humour Fanni showed in this design – it made us all laugh and seems right that Rudolph should be getting a nice rest after a hard night of flying. We also thought the ornate lettering was excellent.
Runner-up
Anna Woods-Kavak, GFS Hackney
We like the way Anna has filled the space in the drawing. Both her Father Christmas and her snowman have lovely smiles looking out of the card and have been coloured in really neatly.
Special commendations
Although the designs below just missed out on being in the top three, we still wanted to share them with you.
