Thank you to everyone who sent us a Christmas card design this year – we’ve received 74 entries in total through our letterbox! After much discussion and thought, we’re pleased to announce the winners and runners up for this year’s competition.

Well done to everyone who took part, and if you missed out on a prize, don’t worry, there’s always next year!

The winner

Holly Warren, age 11, GFS Gloucester Branch
Prize: £30 Amazon Voucher

We love that Holly’s design fills the whole page with bright, attractive colour. The message is beautiful, and not only has a Christmassy theme, but is also inspiring to young women and girls everywhere. To ‘follow your star’ is to follow your dreams and fulfil your potential – values we firmly believe in at GFS and something we greatly want all our GFS girls and young women to achieve.

Runner up

Ruby Fitzgerald, age 16, GFS Aigburth Branch
Prize: £10 Amazon Voucher

We are incredibly impressed with Ruby’s Disney/anime-like design skills. She has an amazing creative talent that we’re sure will take her far! Well done Ruby.

Runner up

Tiana Smith, age 10, GFS Swinton Branch
Prize: £10 Amazon Voucher

We really like the detail of this card – the skiing Father Christmas to the individual ball balls on the tree. The entire page is filled to the brim with drawings celebrating the joyous and celebratory side of Christmas.
