We’re delighted to announce our new Chair of the Board of Trustees has been appointed! Our new Chair, Michelle Corrigan, comes to GFS with extensive experience in executive leadership, nonprofit governance, and system change.

Upon her appointment, Michelle said:

“I’m honoured to be joining GFS as Chair. As someone who has benefited from the support and encouragement of brilliant women throughout my life and career, I’m excited to play a part in championing girls’ voices and helping shape a future where every girl feels confident, supported, and able to lead.

GFS’s vision of a world where girls and young women are free to be themselves and feel proud of who they are deeply resonates with me. Their commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces where girls can build strong foundations for life’s challenges is inspiring.”

Michelle is a nationally recognised leader in digital transformation and cybersecurity, across the health and social care sectors, and brings a strategic and inclusive approach to driving impact in complex environments.

She currently leads the Digital Care Hub CIC, serves as the Chair of a grant-giving charity, and as trustee for multiple organisations supporting health and social care. Michelle describes herself as a passionate advocate for equity and opportunity, and says she is committed to supporting women and girls to thrive and lead – and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board!

“I look forward to working with the team to build on GFS’s rich history and drive its mission forward,” – Michelle said.
