Five week online activity programmes for girls age 8-13 to become unstoppable leaders
The GFS Big Dreamers’ Club runs short programmes of online activities for girls aged 8-13. Each programme will be a crash course on a particular issue for girls and young women.
Big Dreamers’ Club: future leaders
This programme runs once a week for five weeks, providing your girls a variety of sessions to empower them to keep being the big dreamers they are.
In our online sessions girls will be challenged to picture themselves as leaders. Each week we’ll ask new questions, build confidence and encourage the girls to explore new ideas.
Past meetings have included empowering sessions on the following subjects:
What makes a good leader?
Our first session looks into the different styles of leadership and explores the skills and attributes required to become a great leader.
Famous women leaders
This session explores all famous women leaders, both past and present, helping the girls to find positive role models.
Teamwork makes the dream work
This session focuses on the importance of teamwork and the need for leaders to work collaboratively with others. We will also explore the benefits of diverse and inclusive teams.
Problem solving and communication
A session focusing on role-play, the girls will work together to find creative solutions to different problems. In this session the girls will apply their team-working skills gained from the previous session and explore the benefits of effective communication.
Leading the way forward
Our final session brings all our skills together from previous weeks and enables girls to see themselves as future leaders.
