All girls and young women need to be registered with us before they can attend a Girls Friendly Society group.

Current waiting lists and information:

  • GFS Aigburth are currently full and are operating a waiting list. If you wish to apply, please do so and we will update you on a quarterly basis as to availability of places.
  • GFS Pelton Fell is temporarily closed
  • GFS Stanwix are currently full and operating a waiting list. If you wish to apply, please do so and we will update you on a quarterly basis as to availability of places.
  • GFS Atherstone is operating a waiting list for one of its three groups (GFS Atherstone has three different groups for different age ranges).

  1. Register your daughter. Please fill in the form below. This will be sent to GFS Head Office and stored in our secure database.
  2. We’ll contact you. Your local Group Leader or a GFS staff member will be in touch using the information you provide in this form, usually within two weeks. They will discuss your daughter’s eligibility to join and any access requirements she may have. They will also notify you if there is a waiting list or arrange your daughter’s first session if she can start straight away.
  3. Your daughter starts her GFS adventure!

Photographs and footageOn occasion, group sessions may be captured on film or in photographs by GFS volunteers/staff. Photos and videos are mainly used as evidence of working towards GFS programmes and in the group’s private Facebook Group. On occasion, your child’s photo may also be used in an appropriate manner to help promote GFS services to others through our print and online marketing, as well as national/regional social media channels. We would never force your daughter to be in any images or videos she doesn't want to be in.

Do you consent to any photographs and videos being taken of your child while participating in GFS activities?

By selecting 'no'', we will flag this with the Group Leader to strictly ensure that your daughter is not included in any images (including in group photos and those which are used as evidence when working towards programmes). All care will be taken to ensure she is not present in any film//photo/footage. Alternatively her face will be obscured.

3. I consent to the attendance of my child at Girls Friendly Society activities when the persons in charge of the young people will be an employee, volunteer or agent of GFS and agree to the conditions detailed.
