Our staff team deliver a variety of activities, services and support to girls and young women across England and Wales.

Our London office houses the CEO and a number of other members of staff who make the organisation run; from Marketing to Finance and HR to volunteer support. Our Regional Development Managers are based in their respective regions regularly travel around helping to develop GFS groups in their area.


Chair of trustees

Chair of the Board is a vitally important role for GFS. The successful applicant will be appointed for a three year term and lead the organisation as we grow and develop. This is a voluntary role.

Regional Development Manager – Wales

GFS runs volunteer led after school groups just for girls and young women offering them single-gender spaces encourage them try new things, to take more risks, express themselves and develop their confidence. Our groups run throughout England and Wales and we have big plans to grow. Throughout the COVID pandemic, we have continued our work; offering virtual groups and plenty of exciting valuable content for girls. Do you want to join a driven dynamic team who are passionate about their work?

You will support existing groups and lead on opening new GFS groups in line with GFS’s strategic plan. We currently have groups in Dunvant and Felinfoel; with immediate plans to open in Cardiff and Bristol. It will be your responsibility to ensure that groups in your region run to GFS standards. You will be supporting and training our great volunteers who lead the groups.

The role is part time (21 hours with the potential for an increase to 28 hours). This is an exciting role and the successful candidate will join four Development Managers based in our different regions across England.  You will be home based and occasional travel will be required (subject to COVID restrictions) to our London office, around Wales to attend groups, meetings and to support other regions in England.

All of our groups run after school in early evening. Evening and occasional weekend working will be required with some overnight stays.
