About GFS Pilling
We’re a fun, friendly weekly girls’ youth group. We offer sessions which provide a space for girls and young women to meet new friends in a relaxed, girls-only environment and – most importantly – to have fun.
At GFS Pilling, we have a lovely group of girls who attend regularly and love trying new things, including our recent venture into the world of pottery making. We also get the girls involved with the local community, taking part in events like the annual Coffee Feast.
We are currently searching for new Group Leaders to jointly run the group.
This group includes some elements of faith.

“Being a GFS leader means having the opportunity to enable young women and girls to have a place of activity they can call their own. Friendships are formed between girls, their families and the leaders which can last the rest of their lives. It gives a sense of satisfaction to see girls blossom and grow in confidence and gives them a sense of self-worth.“
We’re currently looking for Group Leaders and Activity Leaders. Take a look at the job descriptions below to see which role is for you.
Being a Group Leader is a great opportunity for women who want to use their vision and leadership skills to make a difference. As well as interacting with girls at weekly sessions, the role involves taking a lead on planning the group’s activities and keeping the everything running smoothly.
This hugely rewarding role requires around five hours of time each week and is particularly suited to someone who can commit at least one year to volunteering. There is also the opportunity to share the Group Leader role and form a co-leadership team.
