Instructions

1.

Divide the group into small groups of three or four girls.

2.

Give each group a sheet of flipchart paper, A4 paper and pens or felt tips.

3.

Explain that they are going to host a dinner party. They can invite six famous people to their party (who can be dead/alive, real/fictional) and two people from the group.

4.

On the large sheet of paper ask each group to draw a dining table as a seating plan for their chosen guests.

5.

On the A4 paper ask them to write a guest list and a menu, which should be a three course meal including drinks.

6.

The groups feed back at the end of the session explaining the reasons why they have invited those guests and where they will be sitting.

7.

To evaluate the activity you could ask the girls what skills they used during the session, what they found easy or difficult and what could have been done differently.
